Field Service Reports

Every physical intervention on deployed TQH infrastructure generates a Field Service Report. This register indexes maintenance, calibration, firmware, and repair records spanning the Pattern Fabric backbone, Instrumentation Mesh sensor arrays, UNDERTOW relay fleet, and all on-site facility plant. FSRs are strictly hardware-scoped — operational missions against adversarial targets are logged separately under Field Operation Reports. Applicable procedures live in the SOP Library; real-time asset health feeds into the System Status Dashboard.

FSR Lifecycle

Each report passes through three controlled phases before archive.

Phase 1

Initiation

A service report is opened when GOVERNOR detects a threshold breach in telemetry, when a scheduled maintenance window arrives, or when a field technician files a manual request. GOVERNOR pre-populates asset metadata and last-known readings from the Instrumentation Mesh feed.

Phase 2

Execution

The assigned engineer carries out the service action under the relevant Standard Operating Procedure. All replaced components, firmware versions, measurement deltas, and environmental conditions are recorded directly into the FSR. Photographic evidence is attached for any physical modification.

Phase 3

Verification & Close

Post-service telemetry is compared against baseline on the Status Dashboard. The supervising engineer signs off when readings return to nominal. Any FSR involving PL-4 classified assets requires additional Director-level countersignature before closure.

PL-4 Containment Protocol. Service actions on Restricted-Technique Vault infrastructure, counter-pattern injection rigs rated PL-3 or above, or any GOVERNOR core-compute hardware require dual-technician execution, continuous OPSEC escort, and Director sign-off per the PL-4 Vault Access SOP. Unscheduled access triggers a mandatory containment drill review.

Service Categories

Scheduled Maintenance

Firmware pushes, encryption key rotations, antenna realignments, and cooling system inspections performed on a fixed calendar. GOVERNOR generates FSR stubs 72 hours in advance and assigns based on engineer availability and clearance level.

Reactive & Corrective

Fault-driven interventions triggered by signal degradation, hardware failure alerts, or anomalous readings on the Pattern Fabric or Instrumentation Mesh. Escalation follows the standard GREEN → AMBER → RED → BLACK severity ladder; RED and BLACK events auto-notify the Engineering Director.
