Purpose

To govern the deliberate development of new and improved counter-patterns through candidate generation, laboratory validation, and controlled field trial. The procedure ensures provenance, counter-pattern efficacy and purity, and a traceable lineage from mechanism to deployed counter.

Scope

All counter-pattern development from a decompiled mechanism through to a deployment-ready, validated counter.

Definitions

Candidate Counter
An untested counter-pattern generated against a specific documented technique mechanism.
Validation
Laboratory measurement of a candidate's efficacy and purity against control before any field exposure.
Counter-Pattern Line
A versioned lineage of a validated counter, tracked from mechanism to every deployed revision.

Responsibilities

Breeding Program Lead (Owner)
Owns the procedure, selects source lineages, and approves finalized models for release into the deployment pipeline.
Validation Technician
Performs validation, manages validation rigs, and tracks candidate acceptance and promotion.
Surface Health Officer
Screens source lineages for disease and confirms stock is quarantine-cleared before use.

Procedure

Candidate Selection & Validation

  1. Select source mechanisms against documented harm and prevalence criteria.
  2. Generate candidate counters and validate efficacy and purity in the lab.
  3. Record the source mechanism and candidate batch identifier.

Hardening

  1. Subject promising candidates to adversarial review against a self-adapting construct.
  2. Confirm bounded behaviour at twenty-four hours of sandbox runtime and cull unstable candidates.
  3. Promote hardened candidates to controlled field trial before release.

Trial & Evaluation

  1. Deploy validated candidates onto instrumented trial surfaces only.
  2. Confirm effect by measured disengagement and the absence of user harm.
  3. Evaluate, version, and record each counter-pattern line against its lineage before release.
