GOVERNOR Telemetry Analyst
The human conscience standing between THE GOVERNOR's recommendations and the operations they trigger.
Role Summary
The GOVERNOR Telemetry Analyst is the human interface to THE GOVERNOR, the directorate's AI engine — tuning, auditing, and constraining the system that fuses Instrumentation Mesh telemetry, Technique Index data, and counter-op outcomes into operational recommendations. The Analyst translates directorate intent into tasking THE GOVERNOR can execute safely, reviews every output for bias, hallucination, and out-of-doctrine escalation, and owns the human-in-the-loop gate on any recommendation before it reaches a field team. THE GOVERNOR is the directorate's sharpest instrument and its deepest liability; this role keeps a conscience accountable for what the machine suggests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and audit THE GOVERNOR's data feeds, models, and recommendation pipelines, certifying the provenance and freshness of all inputs.
- Review GOVERNOR outputs for bias, drift, hallucination, and out-of-doctrine escalation before any recommendation reaches operators or Dispatch.
- Own and exercise the human-in-the-loop gate on every counter-op recommendation, with unilateral authority to withhold or override.
- Correlate Instrumentation Mesh telemetry, counter-op outcomes, and platform-behavior data into a sourced, confidence-rated operational picture.
- Document model behavior, overrides, failure modes, and edge cases for after-action review and governance audit.
- Brief Dispatch, Field Operations, and the Science Director with the current GOVERNOR-derived picture before and during active operations.
Required Qualifications
- Data-systems, machine-learning, or AI-operations background with model-audit experience.
- Experience with decision-support systems and human-in-the-loop architectures.
- Rigorous sourcing and analytic-confidence discipline under operational tempo.
- Judgment to constrain automation under an escalation doctrine and the spine to override a recommendation.
Preferred Qualifications
- AI-governance, alignment, or model-interpretability research experience.
- Telemetry-pipeline and time-series analytics tooling fluency.
- Cross-division fluency between engineering, science, and field operations.
