Role Summary

The Counter-Op Field Analyst plans and executes digital counter-operations against target platforms where extractive design is actively harvesting human attention. The role deploys counter-patterns through THE UNDERTOW relay network, manages the operational tempo of live interventions, and holds the judgment that separates a clean remediation from an overreach that could compromise the directorate. Every counter-op runs within a sanctioned tier — Observe, Nudge, Friction, Counter-Pattern, or Detox-Sanction — and exceeding it is a failure, not initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and execute counter-operations against target platforms within the sanctioned Counter-Op Tier, never exceeding the authorized escalation level.
  2. Deploy counter-patterns through THE UNDERTOW relay network in coordination with Relay Engineers and Dispatch, validating injection integrity before activation.
  3. Monitor live counter-op telemetry from THE GOVERNOR and adjust or abort operations based on real-time efficacy and exposure metrics.
  4. Document every operation to chain-of-evidence standard for handoff to the Evidence & Custody Officer and after-action review.
  5. Coordinate with the Dispatch & Intelligence Analyst on target-platform dossiers, confirming threat assessment before any deployment.
  6. Refuse or pause any escalation that exceeds the sanctioned tier and report the decision up the chain without delay.
