Purpose

To govern the intake of every user surface, counter-pattern line, and arthropod technique entering a THE RESET facility through a mandatory quarantine pathway before contact with the general surface. The procedure guarantees no pathogen, parasite, or undocumented organism crosses into clean stock and that every accession carries a defensible provenance record from arrival.

Scope

All living accessions and biological techniques entering any THE RESET site.

Definitions

Accession
Any surface, counter-pattern line, or technique formally taken into a facility and assigned an intake record.
Source Batch
A group of organisms sharing a single origin event, never co-mingled with another batch during quarantine.
Clean Screen
A pathogen and parasite result with no detected agent or lesion of concern.
Quarantine Bay
An isolated holding structure with independent airflow and tooling, kept apart from all clean stock.

Responsibilities

Containment-Security Lead (Owner)
Owns the procedure and signs the two-screen clearance for every accession before population release.
Quarantine Operator
Executes isolation, screening, and acclimation and maintains the intake and screen log.
Surface Health Officer
Confirms species identification and prescribes the correct screening panel.

Procedure

Intake

  1. Log provenance and chain-of-custody before the accession enters the site perimeter.
  2. Assign an accession record and source-batch identifier on arrival.
  3. Place directly into an empty quarantine bay; never co-mingle source batches.

Screening

  1. Run the species-specific pathogen and parasite panel on intake.
  2. Hold for the class minimum and repeat the screen per the clearance table.
  3. Reset the clean-screen count on any positive or ambiguous result.

Clearance

  1. Confirm two consecutive clean screens for wild and imported accessions.
  2. Acclimate equipment and stock to the destination block over the graded window.
  3. Record the dual-signature clearance and release to general population.
